IFC, government launch US$19m initiative for SMEs

The Indonesian government and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) here on Tuesday (2 September) officially launched a US$19 million programme to help small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the eastern part of Indonesia.

Asuransi Kredit Indonesia to link with Korea's Kotec

Credit insurance company PT Asuransi Kredit Indonesia (Askrindo) has agreed to cooperate with Korea Technology Credit Guarantee Fund (Kotec) from South Korea to guarantee export credits for Indonesian traders importing goods from that country.

Banks channel fresh loans to SMEs

The Indonesian banking sector channelled some 30.7 trillion rupiah (US$3.3bn) in fresh loans to small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) last year, exceeding the initial target of 30 trillion rupiah.
