Optimum Finance has appointed Steve Chapman to manage and lead its risk and recoveries activity as the business looks on its successes in 2023.Steve joins Optimum with more than 40 years’ experience within invoice finance and the financial services, much of which was spent with the Lloyds Banking Group. More recently he worked for Hitachi Capital PLC. He returns to the industry having taken early retirement in 2020 and realising that he missed it so much that he wanted to get back into it.

Ares Commercial Finance is announcing that Ian Maccubbin has joined its Business Development and Underwriting teams as a Principal. Mr. Maccubbin will be based in Boston and will assist in covering the Northeast market, where he will have cross-functional business development and underwriting responsibilities. In his new role, he will work to support the existing ABL platform as well as its ever-growing product suite including first lien, split lien, FILO, or second lien transactions.

eCapital has signed a US$245m increase in the credit facility provided by syndicated banks to support the development of its asset-based lending activity and be able to enlarge its working capital offerings towards local SMEs. This increase brings the total amount of the facility to US$815m and the total bank exposure, by adding the other two syndicated loans, to more than US$1.6bn.
