Factoraje Comercial America S.A. de C.V., the factoring subsidiary of one of Mexico’s leading insurance companies (Seguros Comercial America), today announced their fourth quarter and Full Year 2000 financial results.
The finance group Santander Mexicano has today announced a net income of P$677 million for the third quarter of 2000, bringing the total for the nine months ended 30 September 2000 up to P$1,333 million (US$141.1 million).
Fears have been voiced by a Mexican banker that inadequacies in the provision of information are threatening lenders.
The election result for 2 July was better than expected. The financial markets reacted very well, with falls in country risk and interest rates, plus a rise in the stock market and a strengthening of the peso.
