Peru’s Ministry of Production (Produce) reported on Friday that in the first six months of this year a total of 12,080 companies negotiated 13bn soles (£2.8 bn) of invoices to access working capital financing.
"Of the total number of companies that opted for factoring, 9,970 were micro and small companies (MYPES), which represents 82.5% of the market," said the Head of Produce, Jorge Luis Prado.
