East China promotes SME development.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with potential are facing problems with back-up services such as financing, personnel training, management consultancy and technology updates.

A service platform for SMEs has now been established in east China' s Jiangxi Province to accelerate their growth.

Jointly hosted by the provincial SME Bureau and Nanchang University's Technology Park, the platform is expected to be the nation's first to provide complete services for SMEs.

Sources with the SME Bureau said 99 percent of enterprises in Jiangxi are SMEs, whose sales account for more than half of all the enterprises in the province.

A website, a development research centre, a development promotion centre and a training centre will also be launched soon to accompany these promised services.
