Togo’s factoring grows to over 170% in Q1

In Togo, factoring and leasing continue their meteoric rise a few years after their introduction, according to information made public by Sani Yaya, Minister of Economy and Finance of Togo during a meeting of the National Credit Council.

Factoring recorded a sustained increase, with funds in use reaching 19bn CFA francs (US$31m) at the end of March 2023, i.e. nearly triple the 7bn CFA francs recorded a year earlier (an annual increase of 171 per cent). The economy is showing growing adoption of factoring by companies as a means of financing their activities.
