Interest rate “lowest ever”


Acting governor of the Bank of Israel Meir Sokoler cut the interest rate by 0.2 percentage points yesterday, leaving the country with its lowest-ever rate of 3.5 per cent.

The gap between the US Federal Reserve`s interest rate and that of Israel`s central bank has now narrowed to only 1.25 per cent, another historic low.
