Corporate customers upload invoices they have approved for payment, after which participating suppliers can select the receivables they wish to finance. The structure differs from conventional unsecured borrowing because the financing decision is linked to an approved payment obligation from a corporate buyer rather than solely to the supplier’s standalone credit profile. For suppliers, the potential benefit is earlier conversion of receivables into cash. For the buyer, the arrangement can support supplier liquidity without necessarily requiring an immediate payment from its own working-capital resources. The partnership does not represent the launch of a new BPI financing platform. The bank introduced the digital programme in 2024 and said in August that transaction values processed through it had more than tripled during 2025.FAST’s addition represents a new corporate distribution relationship rather than evidence that the bank’s entire programme has tripled again in 2026.The companies did not disclose the total financing capacity allocated to FAST suppliers, the number of eligible businesses, discount rates or any participation fees. They also did not specify whether access would be extended across every part of FAST’s supplier network.FAST provides warehousing, distribution, transport and other supply-chain services across the Philippines. Such activities can create substantial recurring payments to smaller businesses providing goods, transport capacity and operational services. The partnership builds on an existing banking relationship of more than two decades between FAST and BPI.Its commercial significance will depend on supplier participation, the pricing of early payments and the volume of invoices ultimately financed. Nevertheless, it provides another example of banks using approved corporate payables to deliver working capital further down a supply chain. #approved payables#BPI#digital supply chain finance#early payment#FAST Logistics#Philippines#smes#supplier finance
