factoring receivables finance Supply chain finance Asia 09-10-2026AIRA Factoring exceeds THB1bn in digital supply chain finance with NEC and TASConnectThailand’s AIRA Factoring has surpassed THB1bn (approximately US$29.8m) in cumulative digital supply-chain financing transactions through a platform developed with NEC Thailand and TASConnect, marking a new lending-volume milestone for the country’s specialist factoring market. The figure, disclosed on 9 October, represents transactions processed through the platform rather than the amount of financing currently outstanding.AIRA said the system has enabled businesses and suppliers to access working capital through digital processes intended to reduce the administrative work associated with arranging and monitoring supply-chain financing. The platform was developed in collaboration with NEC Corporation (Thailand) and TASConnect, the supply-chain finance technology business associated with Standard Chartered’s SC Ventures. The underlying partnership is not new. AIRA and NEC announced their digital supply-chain finance collaboration in May 2024, with the aim of modernising financing processes and improving access to working capital for Thai companies. The latest announcement is significant because it provides a measurable transaction-volume milestone rather than another technology partnership agreement. The platform connects buyers, suppliers and financing institutions, combining digital credit management with transaction processing and cash-flow visibility. For suppliers, digital submission and processing can reduce the time and administrative effort required to obtain financing against trading relationships. For financiers, more integrated transaction information may help with monitoring receivables, managing exposures and identifying processing exceptions.NEC said the system also incorporates environmental, social and governance information into its financing framework, although no quantified outcomes relating to sustainability-linked lending were disclosed.AIRA chief executive Akrawit Sooksai said the platform had moved beyond its initial technology-development phase and was contributing to commercial expansion. The company anticipates further growth of approximately 7%, although the announcement did not establish a clear measurement period or comparison base for that forecast. The cumulative transaction figure also requires qualification. AIRA did not disclose the number of participating suppliers, the average financing tenor, the value of outstanding receivables or the proportion of transactions involving non-recourse factoring. Those details would help establish how widely the platform is being used and the amount of financing capacity committed at any one time.Nevertheless, the THB1bn milestone provides evidence of actual transaction activity in a market where digital infrastructure is increasingly being used to connect commercial invoices, supplier liquidity and institutional funding. #AIRA Factoring#digital factoring#digital supply chain finance#NEC Thailand#receivables finance#SC Ventures#sme finance#Standard Chartered#TASConnect#Thailand#working capital
