Technology has impacted all our lives, for better or for worse, for millennia. In recent centuries, this has frequently been accompanied by warnings of impending doom. Perhaps it was not always so – I wonder if the guy who invented the wheel was subjected to protests from his compatriots who saw his new-fangled idea as a threat to their livelihood. I suspect not.
