Zvilo expands working capital lending capacity to €75m through Fasanara partnership

Zvilo, a fintech lender with an established presence in emerging markets, has announced a significant expansion of its debt facility with long-term capital partner Fasanara Capital (Fasanara). The facility’s capacity has increased to €75m, a notable rise from the €50m originally committed by Fasanara in 2022.

This latest development is seen as a strategic endorsement of Zvilo’s performance and vision to help bridge the US$2.5tn global trade finance gap. The additional funding is expected to accelerate the company’s growth trajectory, particularly in markets across Africa, Turkey, and the Middle East. Zvilo intends to allocate the capital toward growing its trade finance portfolio, enhancing operational hubs, and delivering data-driven financing solutions to a broader network of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

The partnership between Zvilo and Fasanara is founded on shared goals and a mutual commitment to reshaping SME lending through innovation. Zvilo’s leadership emphasized that this expansion further reinforces their ability to scale efficiently with a trusted partner aligned to their mission. Zvilo has already deployed the initial capital to serve clients across more than 39 markets, leveraging its platform to deliver tailored services and support sustainable economic development in underserved regions.

Fasanara, co-founded in 2011 by Francesco Filia and regulated by the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority, continues to be a prominent player in private credit focused on the fintech sector. With headquarters in London and a growing presence in Milan, the firm supports platforms that integrate technology, disciplined risk management, and regional expertise to create transformative impact.
