SCHUMANN to hold Credit Risk Management Conference 2020 on-line

The annual Credit Risk Management Conference held by SCHUMANN, will take place on 1st October 2020 and for the first time, due to the current circumstances, will be held on-line.

However, the ease of joining an on-line event is expected to facilitate a higher level of participation. The Conference offers discussion on digitising credit management and a wide range of topics on credit risk related to various working capital management services, including receivables finance. The focus this year will be on the effects of the current economic situation but will also have the latest reviews on more generalised themes like technology and compliance.

Panel discussions, lectures and presentations will be divided into four tracks and will cover the following areas:

  • Crisis risk assessment
  • Receivables management and liquidity planning
  • Technology and Innovation
  • Compliance

COVID-19 has legitimately been in our minds for weeks and months; it was, and still is very important to consider the impact of this new environment and how it is evolving. But what is particularly vital now is understanding how to proceed on projects that make businesses fit for the future, including the long term.

Robert Meters of SCHUMANN said ‘The financial services industry needs to start developing strategies to address the needs of business partners on risk and regulatory compliance requirements. Client onboarding, for example, is one field which offers not only a high potential for digitalisation, but it is essential for customer-oriented services. Other examples are product enrolment and speeding up time-to-market and the permanent monitoring of credit risks. Streamlining processes by using technology makes businesses more efficient and resilient’.

Those in charge of developing businesses and transforming processes are tasked with needing to know what technology to choose and what demands have to be met. What is clear is that IT-solutions must have sufficient flexibility for the changing market conditions but should also allow manual intervention on automated processes wherever necessary.

SCHUMANN’s Conference will include expert speakers from leading organisations, who will share their experience and their knowledge. Participants will have the opportunity to get highly relevant and valuable content on successful strategies in credit risk management and digital transformation.
