According to association data, factoring portfolio of the association members as at 1 October was 33.5 million lats, down 7 per cent and the aggregate leasing portfolio 272.6 million lats, up 22 per cent over a year.
Latvia's lease seller association members - Hanza Lizings, Unilizings and Nordea Finance Latvia - saw their factoring and leasing portfolio growing 10 per cent, or 27.7 million lats, during the first nine months of 2003 to 306.1 million lats (Ђ467.32 m), the association reported.
Association president Maris Skujins, commenting on the nine-month results of Latvia's leasing market in 2003, said it has been characterised by stable growth achieved amid the development of related industries and lower interest rates.
