As part of its attempts to keep pace with the rapidly changing scenario in the financial sector, the Indian Institute of Bankers (IIB) has drafted a variety of programmes to provide professional education in order to develop professionally qualified and competent practitioners in the banking and financial sectors.
According to the institute's Joint Director (Academic Affairs), Mr K. Chockalingam, the convergence in banking and other financial service sectors has inspired IIB to chart out a new set of courses, including diplomas in the financial management of banks, besides short duration skill development courses in subjects such as risk management, asset liability management, financial derivatives and factoring services.
