Cattles Funds Local TV Station

Britain’s longest serving independent local TV station, Northants TV, which produces news, sports and feature programmes for local cable television, is expanding its operation to broadcast on terrestrial television, thanks to additional funding from Cattles Invoice Finance.

Andy Williamson, chairman of Northants TV said: “This is a big move for the company as we are planning to increase our programming output and staffing levels nearly threefold. It has meant a large increase in operation costs on top of the initial capital we needed to purchase new transmitters and extra equipment.”

By changing the way Northants TV issued invoices, Cattles was able to put in place an invoice finance facility so that the company could draw down cash advances against outstanding invoices. This gave it the cash injection necessary to cover the initial outlay and will also ensure the company№s cash flow continues to stay healthy.
