Salman Sharif moved to United Arab Emirates in February 2017. His prime responsibility is growing the Trade business and setting the strategic direction for Trade, Transaction Banking within Corporate & Institutional Banking for the bank in UAE.  

As Head of Trade Sales, Salman is responsible for end to end management of trade sales, including revenues, costs, origination, governance, and compliance. He has been key in influencing the wider team to deliver sustainable results including sales revenue, product, and implementation by enhancing trade product knowledge for coverage relationship managers, compliance, and other key stakeholders. 

Salman has been with Standard Chartered Bank for over 20 years, principally with Corporate and Institutional Banking, with various earlier assignments in Karachi and Doha.
