Banking Technology factoring receivables finance North America 27-10-2026FactorFox launches receivables participation platform for factoring companiesFactorFox Software has introduced a receivables participation platform designed to allow factoring companies to share financing opportunities and access additional capital without transferring their existing customer relationships or moving transactions into separate operating systems. The new functionality, announced on 26 October, forms part of FactorFox AI, the company’s operating platform for factoring and specialty finance providers.Under the arrangement, factoring companies with available capital can review opportunities to participate in receivables portfolios originated by other factors. Businesses seeking additional funding capacity can offer eligible receivables under terms they determine. The platform brings together participation discovery, transaction documentation, funding controls, accounting and settlement within a single operating environment. This structure addresses a longstanding constraint in factoring: a provider may have the ability to originate and manage receivables but lack sufficient capital or risk capacity to finance every eligible transaction.By offering participation interests to other financiers, the originating factor could potentially support a larger customer portfolio while retaining responsibility for the underlying commercial relationships.Participating institutions would assess opportunities against their own credit criteria, with access to information covering payment behaviour, receivables ageing, debtor concentration and dilution. These controls are important because the risks associated with factoring participations extend beyond the creditworthiness of individual debtors.Participants also need confidence in invoice eligibility, the accuracy of receivables records, collection allocations, the enforceability of contractual interests and the originating factor’s ability to administer transactions.FactorFox says its system keeps participation arrangements connected to the underlying receivables and financial records, while each party maintains its own accounting records. The announcement follows the company’s earlier platform migration milestone. A 19 October update detailed the onboarding of 107 existing customers into a testing environment, with initial customers beginning production operations. The latest development introduces a separate financing capability rather than simply extending the platform’s operational migration. However, FactorFox has not disclosed the amount of capital available through the participation platform, the number of completed transactions or the value of receivables financed.Participation remains subject to contractual agreements, eligibility requirements, funding restrictions and individual credit decisions. The company has not guaranteed the availability of capital. The development is therefore significant as a potential mechanism for connecting receivables origination with additional institutional funding, although its commercial impact will depend on actual participation volumes and adoption by factoring companies. #capital allocation#credit risk#FactorFox AI#factoring#factoring software#invoice finance#receivables finance#receivables participation#speciality finance
