She highlights key markets with significant potential for developing payables finance programmes, which have been prioritised by the EBRD for further growth. The discussion also explores the challenges banks face when entering new markets to offer SCF solutions, including underdeveloped legal frameworks and infrastructure. Shona notes that factoring and SCF both play an important role within the EBRD’s Trade Facilitation Programme (TFP), which encompasses a variety of financing types designed to support trade.
