Umar T. Pirzada (UTP) is a futurist and eternal optimist who believes the world can become any practical reality which the human mind can imagine. If we can think it, we can do it. While he is a technologist at the core, he has developed business acumen over his career and has found his niche as a strategic advisor & enabler for leading technology driven business transformation, with particular expertise in the Finance, Treasury & Taxation domain.

His industry experience goes primarily across the aviation & automotive sectors while he has also had short stints in technology focused roles at a stock market trading company, a financial services (FinTech) company & has also spent some early professional years at a university in a teaching assistant, research officer & network manager role.

His wider interests in macro-economics & the global ecosystem of international business where all sectors’ interconnects drive his natural curiosity and passion for continuous learning. This has allowed him to develop as a strategic thinker, approaching any situation with a ‘systems thinking’ mindset. His preference is to always seek an ecosystem play with partnerships and developing win-win-win situations.

A proven performer throughout his career, he has earned the reputation of being able to generate ideas, develop them into strategy and deliver impactful organisational change by leading global, large-scale projects and programmes to successful completion.

He is passionate about bringing diverse people together and building high performing teams in the process to be able to achieve what others might deem impossible. Solving complex problems gives him adrenaline and he thrives in uncertain, difficult situations.

During a career of 23+ years, he has spent 16 years in aviation with the Emirates Group based in Dubai, UAE, and has moved to KSA since December 2022 as the Business Planning, Strategy and Transformation Director for Almajdouie Motors Co. LLC (part of Almajdouie Holding Company LLC) based out of Dammam.
