_{Thomas Olsen is a partner with Bain & Company based in Singapore. He leads the C&IB and Market Infrastructure practice globally and the Strategy and Corporate Finance practices in Asia Pacific. He also coordinates Bain’s tech capability related to Blockchain. Thomas has more than 25 years of experience in financial services and consulting across Asia, Americas and Europe. He focuses on the impacts of new technologies and has lead multiple Block chain initiatives ranging from financial market infrastructure and digital fiat currency to energy and the public sector. He has led research and spoken widely the topic and been cited in the Economist, Financial Times and other publications. He also has deep expertise in corporate and portfolio strategy, M&A, risk and capital management. His experience prior to Bain includes the World Bank, Marakon Associates, and the Chicago Board of Trade. Thomas holds a BA from Carleton College, MSc from Cornell University, and MBA from INSEAD.}
