Head of Core Trade - EMEA and Global Lead - Export LCs, JP Morgan

Shirish has over two decades of transaction banking experience covering Trade and Supply Chain Finance and cash management/liquidity solutions. He started his career with Citi, India in 2001 covering global trade for Citi’s North and South America clients. He later moved to Citi, Malaysia in 2004 and joined Citi’s Asia trade services team. Moving to Standard Chartered bank, Singapore in 2007 he ran bank’s Trade Asset Distribution team. During his time, he worked extensively with global multilateral agencies such as IFC, ADB, EBRD and AfDB to create be-spoke trade asset distribution programs. He also ran multi billion dollars CLO structures to manage trade RWA, thus creating incremental credit capacity, allowing new business origination. Shirish then became Global Product Manager – Supply Chain Finance (SCF) products in 2013, looking after product development, commercialisation, and governance aspects of SCF business globally for Standard Chartered Bank. Shirish joined MUFG bank in 2016 to run regional sales team for supply chain finance solutions for Asia Oceania and led the team to win numerous awards for marquee SCF deals. Shirish joined Lloyds bank in 2019, first starting as Transaction Banking sales lead for Asia until he moved to the Lloyds headquarters in London in 2022. He currently leads the Transaction Banking sales for corporate and Institutional clients covering Manufacturing and Industrials sector for corporate names and global banks under Lloyds franchise.  

 

Having lived in 4 countries and worked for 4 major international banks, Shirish enjoys a global network of industry peers and speaks regularly at trade finance events. Shirish holds a master’s degree in international business from Symbiosis University, Pune India.
