Shiona DaviesBoard Director, editor of SME Finance Monitor, BVA BDRCShiona Davies is a Board Director at BVA BDRC and an acknowledged expert and regular conference speaker on SME access to finance. She is the author of the SME Finance Monitor, an independent report published by BVA BDRC since its inception in 2011, used by government, banks and business groups to inform the debate around access to finance for SMEs and which has been quoted widely in the national and international press.Shiona’s background is in financial services; since joining BVA BDRC she has been involved in a number of major assignments for financial and public sector clients. She has also worked for all the major high street banks, and works regularly on consumer and B2B finance issues, developing a good understanding of key financial issues and the role of support and advice in improving consumer financial capability. Prior to this, Shiona worked at NatWest, initially providing support to managers responsible for companies with turnover £1-100m and dealing with these companies on a day to day basis.
