Richard Olver

Richard joined BFS as Chief Operations & Information Technology Officer in December 2020, previously having held a variety of senior executive roles at Transamerica Commercial Finance, GE Commercial Distribution Finance and Siemens Commercial Finance, most recently before BFS being Global Head of Invoice Finance at Siemens Financial Services, a role he started in 2016 upon his return to the UK after spending the previous 5 years living in Munich. Richard started his career at Barclays Bank in the mid-1980s. In 1990 he joined Transamerica Commercial Finance in their risk organisation, later becoming the Director of Operations, Quality & IT for EMEA. He then went on to join General Electric Distribution Finance as the Central Processing Director for Europe in January 2004. In 2006 he joined Siemens Financial Services in the UK, as Head of Corporate Transformation. In 2008 he joined the UK & Nordic Executive Management team as Director of Operations, IT & Corporate Transformation before moving to Munich in 2011 to take up the Global Head of Platforms role for SFS Commercial Finance
