Olena ShyrokovaPresident, Ukrainian Business Council in UAEOlena Shyrokova is a distinguished legal and business leader with over eleven years of experience in Corporate and Contract Law, including more than eight years of professional practice in the United Arab Emirates. A licensed attorney and accomplished entrepreneur, Olena combines legal expertise with a strong focus on international business development and cross-border cooperation. She holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Law from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, one of Ukraine’s top academic institutions. She further obtained her Master of Laws (LL.M.) with distinction from Middlesex University in the United Kingdom. Throughout her career, Olena has contributed extensively to legal discourse through articles and public speaking. She is a regular speaker at high-profile government and private sector events in the UAE and internationally. In 2022, Olena was elected President of the Ukrainian Business Council in Dubai & Northern Emirates, where she actively promotes the UAE as a leading business destination for Ukrainian entrepreneurs. Under her leadership, the Council has launched a variety of impactful initiatives including inbound delegations, roundtable forums, and major trade exhibition engagements—resulting in a 25% increase in Ukrainian business registrations in Dubai within a year. Her contributions were recognised by the International Trade Council, which awarded her the “Community Champion” Award in 2022. Olena is also the Co-Founder of the Ukrainian Arab Business Chamber and the Ukrainian Business Way, a growing business network active in the UAE, UK, and Cyprus. She has also contributed to regional trade dialogue through her previous engagement with the ICC UAE Commission on Trade & Investment.
