Michael Hogan is a Consultant and Advisor in financial services, international trade, digitisation and risk and governance, including advisory services the ICC UK. Michael has over 30 years experience in international financial services and banking, 20 of which based in Asia. He is passionate about rebuilding Trade’s reputation as a real force for good. Prior to his current roles, he was the Managing Director of the UK for the fintec MonetaGo, in charge of leading MonetaGo’s drive to fight fraud in finance through engagement with clients and the trade finance ecosystems across the UK and into Europe.

Prior to joining MonetaGo, Hogan was GM and MD for MUFG’s Transaction Banking business in EMEA for 7 years, where he transformed the positioning, culture and performance of Trade and Liquidity business. His earlier experience also includes 18 years at Standard Chartered across a range of wholesale banking roles, including corporate and financial institution relationship management, product and sales, partnerships and alliances and acquisitions management and integration.

Whilst in Asia, he spent seven years at National Australia Bank as head of trade for Asia, building from scratch a business in trade finance and commodities across the region, with a key focus on digital trade. Michael has lived and worked in a number of European and Asian countries and is now based in the UK.

He speaks fluent French, working German and basic Spanish.
