Luis Montesinos

Luis Montesinos holds a Law Degree by the UNIVERSIDAD AUTONOMA DE MADRID, an MBA by the UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON and a PDD by INSEAD, has more than 35 years of professional experience in the capital markets, banking, trade & project financing, risks management, corporate finance and treasury, having been based in Spain, Italy and in the UK. He is fluent in Spanish, English and Italian.

 

He has been involved in over 65 financial transactions (including project financing and M&A) worldwide for an aggregate value amounting to €6.5B. He worked at ALCATEL LUCENT (currently NOKIA) for 18 years where he was ultimately Treasury and Risks Management Director for Iberia and Latin America after holding a number of other senior financial positions and 10 years at CAMPOFRIO FOOD GROUP where he was first Treasury & Tax Director and then Treasury and Investors Relations Director, after a 2-year stint as a financial advisor, including a Senior Advisor role at PWC Spain focused on corporate finance and balance sheet optimization, he is currently the Group Treasurer at GRUPO LANTERO HQ.

 

Besides this, he is a frequent speaker at financial markets conferences (i.e. EUROMONEY, EUROFINANCE, The Economist, AFME,….) over the last years and collaborates with a number of specialized Finance publications (i.e. TMI, TXF, The Treasurer, Expansión, El Economista, El Confidencial,…)

 

He is an adjunct professor at IE Business School and IE University since 2014 where he teaches Capital Markets, Corporate Finance and Financial Consulting in several master and under-graduate programmes.
