Irene Port Client Relationship & Risk Manager, Global Credit Solution, Munich Re Irene Port started her career with an apprenticeship at HypoVereinsbank (now UniCredit) in 1986. As of 1989 she worked as a specialist in the Foreign Trade Department in Munich. In 1996 she transferred to Trade Risk Management and from 2007 on she was the Deputy Head of UniCredit Group Center of Competence for Forfaiting Financial Institutions and Secondary Market. Irene worked for UniCredit’s Trade Finance Unit in New York (May 1997) and Singapore (several times between 1998 and 2007) and moved to Hong Kong in July 2011 to take over the function as Head of Trade Finance and Services APR (Asia Pacific Region). She returned to Munich in March 2015 as Head of Risk & Portfolio Optimization for UniCredit AG where she was responsible for all secondary market Trade Finance asset purchasing and sales activities, incl. Insurance & Multilateral Development Agencies & Supply Chain Finance risk participations. In October 2024, Irene joined MunichRe as Senior Underwriter based in Munich, where she has the responsibility to further expand the Trade Finance offer (FI and corporate risk) for banks She holds a Bachelor of Business Science of the Verwaltungs- und Wirtschaftsakedemie, Munich.
