Houssam Hoteit is a Director at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC), specializing in Trade & Working Capital Solutions within the Global Trade Finance Department. He has held roles across multiple SMBC offices, including Toronto, New York, and Dubai, where he currently leads the origination and execution of structured trade finance solutions for corporates in the Middle East. His expertise spans receivables and supply chain finance, as well as commodity structured trade finance.

Houssam holds a master’s in finance from Université Saint Joseph (Beirut), and a Diploma in Practical Finance from McGill University (Montreal). He is a Certified Trade Finance Professional (CTFP) from the International Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, he earned an Executive MBA in Sports Management from the Real Madrid Graduate School – Universidad Europea (Madrid), and a Certificate in Fintech from Oxford’s Saïd Business School, reflecting his strong interest in sports, and the future of banking and financial innovation.
