Eduardo Garrido Head of Corporate Finance, Sonae Eduardo is Head of Corporate Finance at Sonae, one of the biggest and most international Portuguese companies. He manages a diverse portfolio of businesses in retail, financial services, technology, investments, shopping centres and telecommunications, Sonae makes the most of its expertise and pushes itself to create the future we all want and need and their motto is Creating today a better tomorrow, for all. With more than 20 years of experience, Eduardo has highly valued competencies in negotiation, debt and equity financing, risk management, M&A, business planning, accounting and management. Currently his main focus is in the definition and implementation of Sonae’s financing policy, managing the relationship with financial institutions and debt capital markets, and management of credit risk and market risks such as foreign exchange, interest rate, commodities and energy. Recently, Eduardo has been working to incorporate sustainability components into financing decisions and structuring financial products, namely, those related to SCF and related to ESG concerns. Eduardo is a graduate of Faculdade de Economia do Porto and executive courses at Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics and London Business School.
