Chiyo Robertson is a senior communications expert with more than 20 years’ experience at international broadcasters including BBC and Sky News. 

 Chiyo’s global experience includes reporting from BBC’s Asia bureau in Singapore, leading World Economic Forum broadcasts in Davos and covering major new events including EU referendum and the 2008 financial crisis. 

She helped shape the BBC’s global business content as editor of World Business TV programmes, launching a Middle East business studio in Dubai and developing a training workshop for BBC Africa journalists in Nairobi. 

An experienced moderator, MC and host, Chiyo has led panels for WEF in Davos, COP26 in Glasgow, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Marrakech, Roland Garros tennis tournament in Paris, Global Media Congress in Abu Dhabi and Eurelectric in Brussels. 

Chiyo is a diversity champion and led the BBC’s award-winning 50:50 Project to improve representation on international business news. She is passionate about empowering diverse communities with strong communications skills and volunteers at a prison rehabilitation project.  

 Chiyo graduated from the University of London with a degree in Medical Biochemistry and completed an AI Skills Bootcamp at the University of Huddersfield and Institute of Coding.
