Alexia Boutin-Somnolet Head of Political Risk & Structured Credit Europe, Marsh Alexia is the Political Risk and Structured Credit Head for Europe at Marsh, where she leads initiatives focused on providing Financial Institutions, multinationals, and corporates with specialized expertise in political risk assessment and structured credit solutions. In her role, Alexia advises lenders, multinationals, and corporates on tailored strategies that align with their risk profiles and local regulatory requirements, enabling them to optimize regulatory capital, mitigate credit risk exposures, and enhance their overall risk appetite. Before joining Marsh in 2021, Alexia built a solid foundation in banking, spending 10 years in Derivatives Sales before transitioning to Trade Syndication. She has worked with several leading banks, including Société Générale, HSBC, and UniCredit, across various countries such as France, Australia, Hong Kong, and Italy. Alexia holds a Master’s degree in Corporate and Investment Banking from Paris Dauphine University and a specialized degree from Bocconi University in Milan. Alexia has been chairing the ITFA working group on Insurtech since 2022. In 2024, Alexia was recognized by Trade Finance Global as an outstanding woman in Trade, Treasury, and Payment.
