Michiel DeurwaarderCategory Manager Finance, DeurwaarderMichiel Deurwaarder (1962) is Vattenfall’s leading finance procurement specialist and a driving force behind the roll-out and expansion of the company’s successful SCF programme. The programme facilitates traditional SCF while also supporting project finance, joint ventures and ESG ambitions. Prior to this, he initiated and executed the sale of underperforming receivables across Vattenfall’s core markets. Michiel holds an MSc from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam’s School of Business and Economics. He combines extensive experience in the procurement of financial and marketing services with senior B2B and B2C marketing roles for blue-chip organisations such as PwC and KLM. He is a strong believer in keeping things simple, an approach he advocates in supplier meetings as well as in discussions on broader topics such as legal payment-term reductions.
