The Minister of State for Finance and Economic Planning has said that funding provided by the World Bank for SMEs is expected to be disbursed before the end of the year

Ghanaian Banks have been told to develop interest in accessing the US$180 million Business Development Services fund for on-lending to SMEs in the country to help develop and expand the sector.

Ghana and her development partners are providing USD118m to support and promote the growth and development of MSME.

The Venture Capital Trust Fund has completed roadshows to educate SMEs on the processes and procedures for accessing Venture Capital Financing.

The government has released US$108m towards implementation of the MSMEs project to provide strategic interventions to address major constraints that affect the sector. Project seeks to provide requisite funding and technical support for SMEs to improve their area of work.
