Euler Hermes deal Greece and Spain credit insurance blow

Credit insurance provider, Euler Hermes SA, has reduced the volume of insurance it sells for the protection of companies from defaults of their Greek and Spanish customers in the wake of the euro-zone crisis, according to Management Board Chairman Wilfried Verstraete.

Banco Santander SA in talks to purchase Polish bank

At a press conference to present Santander's full-year results, Chairman Emilio Botin announced that Santander are in talks to purchase a Polish bank although he did not elaborate on the negotiations, nor did he disclose the name of bank that could be purchased.
