Trade Facilitation, a new service from SAFT, finances exports through factoring

Southern African Fruit Terminals (SAFT), the well-known service provider in the national fruit export chain, is going from strength to strength these days.

As the company grows, every effort is made to introduce new and more effective services, and the latest of these is Trade Facilitation(TF), that enables an exporter to access funds in advance by factoring his export invoice, payable by his buyer. TF requires the participation of a factoring house to factor the carriage and fees of a specialised perishable cargo multi-modal transport operator (MTO), being SAFT Trade Facilitation. The MTO will in turn issue a negotiable MTO bill of lading to the factoring house as security of delivery.
