Spanish Factoring Association Figures Show 37% Growth for Nine Months Ended September 2001


The Spanish Factoring Association have this month released figures detailing industry performance during the first nine months of 2001. Overall, the industry has grown 36.72% compared to the same period in 2000.

The figures show that 97.05% of factoring in Spain is currently accounted for by domestic factoring and that the bulk of industry growth has been due to the continued growth of domestic factoring. During the same period in 1999, domestic factoring accounted for 96.55% of total factored volume in Spain. Both export and import factoring have grown during the period, but not as quickly as domestic factoring.
