Spain ushers in new law to help SMEs

Spain has just published the final version of its much awaited new law for the creation and growth of companies. Called the “Create and Grow” law, it was drafted at the end of 2021, passed by the Spanish parliament on 28 September 2022, published on 29 September 202, and scheduled to come into force 20 days later (19 October 2022). The rules governing crowdfunding platforms will come into force a bit later on 10 November 2022.  Its aim is to increase the number of start-ups, boost their growth, remove certain obstacles to economic activities, improve the climate for investment in new companies, implement regulatory improvements and combat late payment. It could be called a charter for Spain’s SMEs.
