SMEs face financing problems


Ibrahim Karaoglu, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kocaeli Association of Active Industrialist Businessmen (KAAIB), addressed the problems facing the development of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Karaoglu cited these problems as: difficulty in accessing credit, under-utilisation of incentive schemes, insufficient use of financing mechanisms and low levels of technology. He said SMEs were unable to keep up with technical and technological developments both in Turkey and abroad.
