SMEs benefit from new monetary measures


Bank Negara governor, Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz, announced monetary measures aimed at addressing the current economic challenges during the release of the central bank's 2002 Annual Report. Measures include RM400m additional funding for small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), greater flexibility to non-resident controlled companies (NRCCs) to raise funding, supporting businesses through retaining interest rates at the current low levels and easing foreign exchange control.
