Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (SMEDAN), has reached agreement with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in Nigeria for greater support to
the development of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The understanding was reached during a meeting between Director General of the agency and officials of the UNDP, and it is expected to lead to collaboration in short and long term in
SMEDAN activities and programmes.
The Director General, Mrs Modupe Adelaja, sought the assistance of the UNDP in processing and analysis of data collected in the on-going survey/census of SMEs, with the view to
establishing a credible data bank.
Adelaja said the agency could also collaborate with UNDP in micro-finance and SME cluster programme.
