Small- and medium-sized enterprises (SME) will apply for far more loans than last year, according to a survey conducted by Hungary's second largest bank Kereskedelmi & Hitelbank (K+H), deputy chief executive of K+H, Laszlo Diosi, said on Wednesday (May 12).
He said K+H expected to grant twice as much in loans to SMEs than last year.
Handling accounts for 70,000 SMEs, K+H managed HUF28bn in SME loans and HUF128bn in SME deposits in December 2003. The bank estimates the HUF28bn represented 15 per cent of the market.
A survey suggests K+H has a 28 per cent share of the overall SME market and 65 per cent of SMEs queried said K+H was their primary bank.
