SME Corporation Malaysia and Funding Societies to provide US$1.27m to Bumiputera youth entrepreneurs


SME Corporation Malaysia (SME Corp.), an agency under the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (MECD) and Funding Societies, a unified SME digital finance platform in Malaysia and Southeast Asia, have allocated an initial fund of RM6m (US$1.27m) youth entrepreneurs under the newly launched programme, Bumiputera MSMEs Financing Initiative (BMFI).

The new financing initiative aims to increase access to financing for micro, small and medium enterprises (PMKS) under the Tunas Usahawan Belia Bumiputera (TUBE) programme by SME Corp. that was launched in 2014.
