Small Business calls for long-term tax reductions


Today Catherine Swift, president of the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) along with Garth Whyte, executive vice-president presented to the House of Commons Finance Committee the budgetary priorities of Canada's small- and medium-sized business sector and release preliminary results of a tax survey conducted among the Federation's 105,000 small-and medium-sized businesses (SME) members.

"It is a serious concern to SMEs that the priorities to date of this government are focused on the spending side, while there does not seem to be any cohesive plan to promote growth in the sectors that create jobs.
