Singaporean receivable and supply chain finance platform receives new investment

Culum Capital, a Singapore-based receivables and supply chain financing platform, has received an investment from GTR Ventures. GTR revealed several Fintech investments this past week – mainly in the online lending vertical.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with GTR Ventures,” commented Ginnie Chin, co-founder & CEO of Culum Capital. “With their support and links to the global trade finance ecosystem, Culum Capital will be able to offer stakeholders targeted access to wider markets. We see this as the first of many global alliances for the company.”

Culum points to data that 80% of trade is financed by credit or credit insurance. An estimate by the World Trade Organization says the value of unmet demand for trade finance in developing Asia is US$700 billon. This is were Culum wants to step in.
