Siam City Bank reported first-half pre-provisioning profits of 3.54 billion baht, well up from 2.25 billion last year. President Apisak Tantivorawong said net profits in the first half were 1.37 billion baht, down slightly from 1.45 billion in the same period last year.
Net lending in the first half totalled 14.13 billion baht, around half of which went to small- and medium-sized businesses (SMEs). The bank has a total new lending target of 25 billion baht this year, 14% higher than the year before.
Outstanding loans at Siam City Bank at the end of June totalled 286.3 billion baht. Some 15% of them were lent to SMEs.
