Colombian credit insurer Segurexpo is planning an aggressive move into the domestic market, local paper La Repъblica reported.
“The goal is to increase the use of internal credit insurance among local companies,” Segurexpo's commercial manager Josй David Lamk said.
"We want to be an important player in the issue of full payment insurance in the medium term," the executive said.
The company also presented a new policy called multi-marketing for commercial loans granted for the sale of goods and services, which covers sellers if buyers do not pay. The insurance premium value depends on many factors such as the type of good or services provided, payment terms granted, the economic sector to which it belongs, destination country and number of buyers, Lamk said.
Segurexpo is a private insurer created in October 1993 as a result of a private and public sector initiative.
