Sampo Bank in Lithuania will provide free consultation to private and public companies seeking assistance from EU structural funds. The bank will help businessmen in preparing projects and documents required by the structural funds.
According to Renatas Dudonis, director of SAMPO’s Business Banking Service, most companies overlook the fact that they have to finance projects with their own or borrowed funds before they can get EU assistance. The bank is offering customised financial solutions, consultations and direct assistance to this type of clients.
Sampo has credit agreements signed with EIB, the German Development Bank and other international organisations, allowing it to grant loans to small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Last year loans to SMEs accounted for 78 per cent of the bank’s overall loan portfolio and their share is expected to reach 81 per cent this year.
