Research from Bibby Factors Leeds Shows Government Fails UK Exporters

Exporters in the United Kingdom believe the government is failing them according to new research from Bibby Factors Leeds. Findings show that nearly a quarter (23%) of respondents believe current Government policies are detrimental to their business.

A further 55% felt that the Government had little impact on their business, reflecting the fact that no one government can change global market conditions.

When asked what the Government could do to assist firms trading overseas, the majority of those surveyed (22%) recommended reducing red tape. A further one in five demanded that the strength of the pound be curbed. More than ten per cent would like to see increased access to grants, while one in ten would like improved access to funding.
