Profit of Unibanka at LVL 13.3 million in 2003


Latvijas Unibanka achieved a profit of LVL 13.309 million in 2003, down 2 per cent from 2002 when it reached the highest profit among Latvia’s commercial banks.

Unilizings leasing company has kept its 32 per cent market share in 2003, provided by a 15 per cent increase in leasing transactions and a 14 per cent increase in factoring. The total leasing and factoring portfolio of the company exceeded LVL 100 million in 2003.

Unibanka increased assets by 23 per cent in 2003, to LVL 874.2 million. The volume of capital and reserves increased by 19 per cent, to LVL 83.1 million.

The bank aims to increase profit 25 per cent this year, due to increasing number of clients and renewing the growth of leasing services.
