Prime Minister backs SME initiative and praises entrepreneurs

The Prime Minister, Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, yesterday praised the initiative and pioneering spirit of entrepreneurs who are working out of the Bahrain Business Incubator Centre (BBIC) and said Bahrain valued the contribution of small and medium enterprise entrepreneurs as much as it did big businesses because these entrepreneurs supported the economy, improved the quality of life and sustained the development of the Kingdom.

Shaikh Khalifa inaugurated the BD 2.5 million BBIC, a pioneering project to promote entrepreneurship and to facilitate creation of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Kingdom as part of a strategy to diversify into non-oil industrialisation and generate new avenues of business growth and employment in the Kingdom.
